Grapes: Procanico, Verdello and Malvasia.
From a very small vineyard planted promiscuously with the native grapes of the area mixed in the rows just as per traditional customs, “Musco” is born.
Produced with ancient tools and equipment in a tuff cave dug under a chestnut forest, without using electricity, it matures in chestnut barrels and then in glass for several months. Bottling is also done manually.
With a bright intense gold color, it has an enveloping and complex nose of ripe yellow fruit, almonds, candied citrus peel and dried citrus, chestnut honey and notes of aromatic herbs that give it that freshness that we then find in the tasting. In the mouth it is structured and although silky and soft it has a well-integrated acidic and slightly savoury trail that makes it a balanced wine. Long persistence of taste with a slightly bitter finish.
Ideal with chickpea and grass pea purees, first courses in white based on mushrooms, truffles and second courses with more intense flavors such as marinated anchovies, cod, lamb offal.
